The Undergraduate Communications Design Department offers three areas of focus in our upper-level studio courses: Illustration, Graphic Design, and Advertising Art Direction. Our program aims to prepare students to become independent thinkers and leaders in the increasingly complex field of communication design. Senior-level coursework foregrounds inquiry, problem solving, aesthetics, and technical fluency in relation to students’ interests and career goals. Communications Design BFA at Pratt Shows: Design showcases a selection of senior work from the final year of our program.

Pratt Shows: Design is the Institute’s annual exhibition of design work by exceptional seniors and postgraduates from the Schools of Design, Architecture, and Art. The exhibition provides an opportunity to see a diverse range of what’s next in:
